Long ago he saw the light of day
Then the wind it blew the man away
and I don’t believe i wear rose coloured glasses
but I believe the man is going home
Transatlantic - Rose Coloured Glasses

That’s some thoughts from me, anyway. I try to put things into words but often fail to properly convey my proper meaning but I think I did ok there. I’d like to see what anyone else thinks about the Gif and my thoughts on it.

I’m starting a new thing, it’s called Intellectual Gif Discussion. I may do it again.

re. below post

I mean, she is looking at this openly and with an understanding that all people are different which I guess could be seen as quite mature, particularly when you consider that she is making more sense than many adults many times her age, but it’s a very simple point being made, through what one can only assume is her own observation. I would argue that she is not above her age, simply unbiased and talking about this the way that she sees it, the way many children would probably see things, because they haven’t yet fully seen the way that people, and the world, are and how things are viewed. She isn’t caught up in the demented views of what is and isn’t “right” or “normal” she just sees what there is, through beautifully unbiased eyes.

This little girl is beyond her age.

Is this little girl beyond her age or simply young enough to have the non-judging innocent attitude that the people older than her should have but have often lost?

Do you believe that there’s someone up above?
Does he have a timetable directing acts of love?
Why did I write this song on that one day?
Why did you touch my hand and softly say.
‘Stop asking questions that don’t matter anyway.
Just give us a kiss to celebrate here today’?
Pulp - Something changed (best taken with context) Really I’d like to just post the entire lyrics to this one but it would spam everyone’s tumblr (all however few people follow me)
In my next life i want to live backwards. You start out dead and get that out of the way.
Then you wake up in an old people’s home feeling better every day.
You get kicked out for being too healthy, go collect your pension, and then when you start work, you get a gold watch and a party on your first day.
You work for 40 years until you’re young enough to enjoy your retirement.
You party, drink alcohol, and are generally promiscuous, then you are ready for high school.
You then go to primary school, you become a kid, and play. You have no responsibilities, you become a baby until you are born. And then you spend your last 9 months floating in luxurious spa like conditions with central heating and room service on tap, larger quarters every day and then, VOILA!
You finish with an orgasm. I rest my case.”
- Woody Allen.

lyrics

I’m starting to post lyrics that are in my head and/or of some meaning to me personally or just particularly good ones generally. Incidentally I would highly advise checking out any of the songs that they come from because they will almost always be awesome.

Now
now that you’re free
what are you gonna be
and who are you gonna see
and where
where will you go
and how will you know
you didn’t get it all wrong?

Is this the light of a new day dawning?
A future bright that you can walk in?
No it’s just another monday morning!
Do it all over again oh baby

Pulp - Monday Morning
Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run there’s still time to change the road you’re on
